Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 1, 2026
At Daytitude, we believe your data is yours. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle the information you provide when using our iOS application.
1. Information Collection and Storage
Daytitude is built with a primary focus on privacy. We do not collect, transmit, distribute, or store your personal data on external servers.
- All data you generate while using Daytitude—including your routines, values, attitudes, and schedule configurations—is stored 100% locally on your personal device using Apple's integrated database technologies.
- No account creation, email registration, or login is required to use the core features of the app.
2. Third-Party Services
We do not integrate any third-party analytics trackers, advertising networks, or data-harvesting SDKs into our iOS application. Your usage behavior is yours alone.
3. Device Backups
Daytitude does not run a sync service of its own, and it does not use iCloud to store or synchronise your data. If you back up your iPhone — either to iCloud or to a computer — Daytitude's on-device data is included in that backup, and restoring the backup onto a new iPhone restores your data along with it. Backups are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to them.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Because Daytitude keeps everything on your device and sends nothing to us, there is no copy of your data on our side to retain, and no retention period for us to apply. Your data stays on your iPhone for exactly as long as you keep the app installed.
- Deleting everything: deleting the Daytitude app from your iPhone permanently removes all of the data it created — routines, values, attitudes, contexts, schedules and completion history — including the data shared with the home screen widget. Nothing survives the uninstall, and there is nothing left on our servers, because there never was.
- Keeping a copy first: Settings → Export your Data writes your routines, completion history, values and settings to a JSON file you can save or share before you delete anything.
- Withdrawing consent for notifications: Daytitude's reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. You can revoke that permission at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Daytitude, without affecting any other part of the app.
- Making a request: if you want to ask a privacy question, or ask us to erase something, email support@daytitude.com. In practice there is generally nothing for us to export or erase, since we hold no personal data about you, but we will answer any question about how the app handles your information.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If any significant changes occur that impact how data is handled, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
